These parts are created to replace the bungee retention system that comes stock on the Hobie Island series (Adventure and Tandem). The kit contains all the parts necessary to install 4 brackets. The brackets, Inserts, and thumbscrew wrenches are made from 3D printed, black PETG. PET is the material that soda bottles are made from and have a very low water absorption rate and high UV stability, allowing this material to be ideal for maritime environments.  The hardware is 1/4-20, 316 marine grade stainless steel. 

The kit will prevent loose bungees from allowing the AKA to move in and out of the ama. Akas can wear holes into the inner portion of the ama and break aka locating tips. After installation of the bracket kits its not uncommon to notice the ride being much quieter as the ama and akas are not slamming together, which is especially noticeable in rougher conditions.
